Following a sustained period of business growth, including last year's merger with local firm Optimus Accounting Limited, we've now expanded into new offices within Berwick on Tweed's Ramparts Business Park.
Our move into a larger 258 square metre premises will enable the firm to accommodate further growth across the local region. The new office, led by partners Patrick Evans, Mairi Drummond and Mark Thompson, who are well-supported by a number of senior managers, has capacity for up to 30 people which would nearly treble our existing team of 12 colleagues. The Berwick office is also supported by the wider Rennie Welch team of 40 professional and support staff, based across the Eastern and Central Borders.
From our firm's initial base in the Scottish Borders, Rennie Welch first expanded into Berwick on Tweed in 2016. As a firm we have a long-established reputation as an agricultural accounting and taxation specialist. In recent years we've also built a strong client base within retail, manufacturing, hotel and catering and service industries.
Commenting on the new Berwick premises, tax partner Mark Thompson said: “Our investment in this new office follows last year's successful merger with Optimus Accounting and continued growth across our Berwick on Tweed practice.
“The new premises, combined with a significant investment into enhanced facilities and systems, will help us build on our reputation as a firm which provides friendly and professional services to its clients. It also gives us the space we need to increase our headcount as we target further growth across the local region, on both sides of the Border.”
