Richard joined Rennie Welch in February 2024 having worked in the personal tax departments of large independent firms of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh.
Richard has worked in tax for 30 years and has been a Chartered Tax Adviser since 2002, he is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). In recent years Richard has dealt with tax matters (compliance and advisory) for a broad range of clients including landed estates, high net worth individuals, overseas individuals and trusts/estates. Richard is particularly interested in advising on Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax.Richard lives in East Lothian and when he is not working spends his time walking his dogs on the beach and tending to his allotment.
